Route Rush Privacy Policy

Route Rush is a location-based local exploration game. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how players can control their account and notification choices.

Information We Collect

• Account information such as email address, display name, nickname, profile photo, and optional phone number.
• Gameplay information such as check-ins, route summaries, points, badges, challenge progress, and leaderboard rank.
• Location information when you choose to use nearby check-ins or start a route.
• Notification tokens when you enable push notifications for Route Rush.
• Basic device and diagnostic information used to operate and improve the app.

How We Use Information

• To create and manage your Route Rush account.
• To verify nearby check-ins and calculate points, badges, and challenge progress.
• To save route summaries and show your own route history.
• To show leaderboard rankings, unless you choose to hide from leaderboards.
• To send optional buddy ride notifications and approved local event reminders.
• To protect the app from abuse, suspicious check-ins, and unsafe activity.

Location Data

Route Rush uses location only for gameplay features that you choose to use. Check-ins require approximate proximity to an approved point of interest. Route tracking begins only after you tap Start Route and ends when you confirm End Route. Location data is not required for browsing basic app screens.

Notifications

Push notifications are optional. The first release focuses on buddy ride start/end alerts and approved event reminders. You can disable Route Rush notifications in your device settings at any time.

Friends and Visibility

Buddy ride visibility requires a mutual friend connection. Subscribing to leaderboard notifications does not grant access to a player's live route. Players may hide from leaderboards, which replaces public profile details with an anonymous presentation while still preserving points.

Businesses and Events

Business listings, event check-ins, promotions, construction notices, and weather advisories are managed by Route Rush admins. The consumer app does not process advertising purchases, paid listings, coins, subscriptions, boosts, or premium gameplay.

Data Retention

Route summaries are intended to be retained for up to 12 months unless deleted earlier by the player or required for security review. Account deletion requests disable access and are processed according to the account deletion flow in the app.

Your Choices

• You can edit profile details available in the Profile tab.
• You can hide your nickname and profile image from leaderboards.
• You can delete eligible saved routes from your profile.
• You can disable notifications in your device settings.
• You can request account deletion in the app.
